All Saints’ Shannon Bryan Leads Christmas Recital

All Saints Anglican Church in Peachtree City is inviting the public to a free Christmas music recital in its sanctuary on December 4th at 7 p.m. The theme for the event is “Home For The Holidays.”

The presentation will be organized and led by All Saints music director Shannon Bryan. Bryan will play the piano and accompany guest soprano Chelsea Buyalos. LeeLee Hunter will also perform solo classical guitar.

A small sampling of the music includes, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Do You Hear What I Hear?,” “Ave Maria,” and “Oh Holy Night.” The artists will comment on the pieces and the composers during the program which is expected to last an hour and one half and be available for questions and discussion.

Bryan, a resident of Fayette County, has been music director at All Saints for several years. She has extensive experience as music director, pianist, piano instructor, violinist, music operations manager and educator at various churches and organizations. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Music from Georgia Southern and her Masters Degree in Music from the University of Miami.

Soprano Chelsea Buyalos, currently enrolled at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, has a distinguished background in classical music having made her operatic debut in Rome in operas by Mozart, Pergolesi and Villa-Lobos. She also has performed in musicals to include “Annie,” “The King and I,” “Guys and Dolls,” and “Oklahoma.” Recently, she worked with the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra on its spring and summer concert series.

Guitarist LeeLee Hunter is also enrolled at the Peabody Conservatory and is now in her third year of classical guitar study. She has played the guitar since childhood, but also studied voice and clarinet growing up. She has played solo with the Cincinnati Guitar Workshop and in a number of other classical music venues.
